  • What is Nozzle Up?
    Nozzle Up is an all-inclusive balloon event with educational workshops, fun contests, interesting product demonstrations, and epic parties. With international teachers from all over the world, this will be a 3-day event where you're guaranteed to return home with a wealth of additional knowledge.
  • What language will the workshops be conducted in?
    The workshops will be conducted in English. Some international teachers will be accompanied by a translator for this purpose. If you are not proficient in the English language, no problem! You will also learn a great deal through observation and hands-on participation.
  • How can I register?
    You can register starting from Thursday, December 1, 2022, through our online webshop: . Early bird tickets are available until June 30, 2023 and from July 1, 2023, to October 10, 2023, you can purchase tickets at the regular price. For all information, you can visit the Nozzle Up website:
  • What is included in the registration fee?
    Nozzle Up is an all-inclusive event. The following is included in the price: Access to workshops Participation in various contests Product demonstrations Drinks (coffee, tea, and soft drinks) Meals (lunch and dinner) A well-stocked goodie bag Please note that you are responsible for booking your own accommodation:
  • What should I bring to the event?
    You don't need to bring anything yourself. We provide all the balloons and materials for the workshops. In your goodie bag, you will find a pen and a nice notepad, so you don't have to bring those either. We do recommend bringing a camera if you'd like to take photos during the workshops. Feel free to take as many pictures as you want. However, please note that recording videos is not allowed in classes. Additionally, it would be handy to bring a hand pump and a scissor or cutter for your convenience during the classes.
  • What if I want to cancel?
    That would be unfortunate, but if you're unable to attend, you can cancel free of charge until October 10, 2023. You must inform us in writing via email at Your cancellation will be registered and we can proceed with the refund only after we confirm receiving this email. If you wish to cancel after October 10, 2023, unfortunately, we cannot provide a refund. However, you can try to find someone who is willing to take over your registration. You must inform us about this in writing as well. Alternatively, you can transfer your registration to a future edition of Nozzle Up.
  • What about cancellations due to COVID-19?
    If you test positive for COVID-19, we unfortunately require you to stay at home. Only upon presentation of a positive PCR test, we can refund your registration fee. If you experience any COVID symptoms shortly before or during the event, we would appreciate it if you inform us and also stay at home.
  • Photos during the event.
    There will be a photographer present during the event. The photos taken by the photographer will be used on our websites and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
  • Are children allowed at the event?
    Although we certainly encourage starting the passion for balloons as young as possible, children under 16 years old are not allowed at the Nozzle Up event.
  • Can you easily park at the hotel?
    Absolutely, as a guest, you can use one of the 500 spacious parking spaces completely free of charge. Upon arriving at the parking area, you will receive a parking card at the barrier, which you can have scanned at the reception at the end of your stay, making it suitable as an exit card. During your stay, you can use your room keycard to access and exit the parking area. Despite the ample parking spaces available, it may happen that the area becomes full. In that case, you can use the P+R parking garage opposite the hotel. Although the parking area is secured with a barrier and camera system, parking is at your own risk. Hotel Van der Valk Eindhoven cannot be held liable for any damage or theft from parked cars.
  • Can electric vehicles be charged?
    Yes, definitely! Hotel Van der Valk values the environment highly. In collaboration with Allego, the hotel offers several electric charging points for your convenience. You can find more information about this here:
  • What if I come by bike?
    You can safely place your bike in the covered bike storage located at the back of the hotel. There are also power outlets available for charging e-bikes.
  • Is there an airport nearby?
    Just 15 minutes away from the hotel, you'll find Eindhoven Airport. There are no shuttle buses, but you can take public transportation from the airport to reach the hotel. You can take a bus to Eindhoven Central Station and then transfer to various bus lines that will take you to the hotel. There is also a direct connection between Eindhoven Central Station and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. If you prefer to take a taxi to and from the airport, you can find a few taxi companies below:
  • Can you smoke in the hotel?
    No! Hotel Van der Valk is a 100% smoke-free hotel. Smoking is not allowed inside the building or in the rooms under any circumstances. This can also result in a fine of €150.
  • Are pets allowed?
    We have a tremendous love for animals, but unfortunately, pets are not allowed in both the hotel and during the event.
  • Can I share a room?
    Absolutely! We highly recommend it. Not only is it super cozy 😊, but it also allows you to split the costs. The hotel offers spacious double rooms with separate beds, so you can comfortably sleep with two people. One of you can book and pay for the room, and you can settle the costs between yourselves.   • When can I check-in and check-out?
    You can check-in on the day of your stay from 3:00 PM, and check-out is before 12:00 PM. The hotel reception is open 24/7.
  • What facilities are available in the rooms?
    Each room is equipped with air conditioning and ample storage space for your clothes and valuable belongings. Additionally, each room has two single beds and a desk. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, a bathtub/shower, a hairdryer, and various toiletries.
  • Can I store my luggage somewhere after checking out?
    There is a luggage storage area available where you can leave your belongings after checking out. This luggage storage area is located at the reception.
  • Is breakfast included?
    The rooms available for booking during the event include a comprehensive breakfast buffet at the hotel's restaurant.
  • Can I use the facilities in the hotel?
    As a hotel guest, you can enjoy complimentary access to the heated indoor swimming pool, fitness room, and casino (21+ years). Additionally, you can make unlimited use of the free Wi-Fi and complimentary parking.
  • What if I have special dietary preferences?
    Whether you are a vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, or have other intolerances or allergies, it's not a problem! There are plenty of options available for every diet. You can let us know in advance so that we can inform the hotel and make arrangements accordingly.
  • How is the accessibility for wheelchair users?
    The hotel is highly wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator available to access the event floor, and the event floor itself is completely on the ground level.   • Can I come to the event with a motorhome or camper?
    Yes, you can definitely do that. There are several nice campgrounds nearby where you can stay overnight with your motorhome or camper. Here are some suggestions: Please note: Only hotel guests can park for free in the hotel parking area. If you're coming with a motorhome or camper to the event, you will have to pay for parking. Alternatively, you can consider using public transportation.
